I am a native Floridian who was born and raised in southern Florida, as well as Jamaica. I attended Florida State University for my undergraduate degree and after working as a veterinary technician in Tallahassee for several years, decided to pursue a degree in veterinary medicine, which I earned from The Ohio State University in 2016. I have always respected the bond between pets and their families, including the end of life care they receive. Older animals have always had a special place in my heart and I have always wanted to pursue this special niche in veterinary medicine and help families honor their furry family members. I am a proud member of the LGBTQ+ community and share a home with my cat, Loki, my two dogs, Zero and Timmy, and a Ball Python, Prince Louie.

I grew up in a small town in northeastern Pennsylvania. I grew up in a small town in northeastern Pennsylvania. My early love for animals led me to work as a pet shop employee, veterinary technician, and zoo intern while earning my undergraduate degree at The George Washington University. I later moved to Florida to be closer to my grandparents and attend the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine. In 2010, I graduated and began my career as a small animal veterinarian in Tallahassee.
Over the past decade, I have built both my career and my family in this wonderful community. I share my home with my daughter and our beloved pets - a golden retriever, a standard poodle, two cats, fish, an axolotl, and guinea pigs. In August 2024, our lives changed with the loss of my husband and my daughter, aged 12, lost her Daddy. Walking through that grief together has deepened my understanding of love, loss, and what it means to say goodbye.
I have always felt called to make a difference by helping both people and animals. Supporting the human–animal bond, especially during end-of-life care, is where I feel that calling most strongly. My personal experiences have given me an even greater sense of empathy and purpose in this work. It is an honor to walk alongside families during such tender moments, offering compassion, guidance, and a peaceful transition for their beloved pets.
I would be honored to support you and your family with kindness and love as you celebrate the life and relationship you share with your pet.
